Funded by Xiamen Ocean Development Bureau, this is a pre-research project of Coastal-SOS. This project has initiated preliminary research focusing on the Xiamen sea-land interaction zones. It will establish a basic framework for international cooperation for the full implementation of Coastal-SOS, help the scientific foundation and policy support for Xiamen’s sustainable development, and promote the "Xiamen model" that integrates science, management and society for the sustainable development of coastal zones.
