On June 7, 2024, the Nanqiang Lecture on the blue economy and ocean sustainability took place at Xiamen University. This distinguished event featured a high-level panel discussion involving academia, policymakers, and leading enterprises focused on promoting the high-quality development of the blue economy and advancing ocean sustainability. The panelists included H.E. Andreas Eriksen, the Minister of Climate and Environment of Norway, Dr. Xuedu Lu, Senior Advisor on Carbon Neutrality at Tencent, and Prof. Minhan Dai, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, among other distinguished guests. They were engaged in a thought-provoking cross-sectoral dialogue on the interplay between the blue economy and carbon neutrality in the pursuit of ocean sustainability, exchanging valuable insights and perspectives from both China and Norway.
